About this walk...

The North Head Scenic Walk is a 3-kilometer loop trail located within Sydney Harbour National Park, offering a blend of coastal views, bushland, and historical sites. The walk typically takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to complete, depending on your pace and the time spent at various points of interest.

The trail begins at the end of North Head Scenic Drive and follows the Fairfax Walk, a paved path that loops around the top of North Head. Along the way, you'll encounter two lookouts - Yiningma and Burragula - which provide panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Sydney Harbour. The route also passes through the North Fort, a historic military site, and the Third Quarantine Cemetery, offering insights into the area's past. The walk concludes back at the starting point, providing a serene and informative experience amidst natural beauty.
