ABOUT THIS BEACH
Brighton-Le-Sands sits along the shores of Botany Bay, just south of Sydney’s CBD, offering a relaxed, family-friendly beach experience. Unlike the surf beaches of the Northern Beaches, Brighton-Le-Sands has calm, flat waters, making it ideal for young children, casual swimmers, and stand-up paddleboarders. Its soft sandy shoreline and sheltered bay create a safe and welcoming environment for a day by the water.
A wide promenade runs along the beach, perfect for walkers, joggers, cyclists, and pram-pushers. The beach also features a netted swimming enclosure, disabled access, outdoor showers, and public bathrooms, giving families and visitors all the convenience they need for a comfortable visit.
Brighton-Le-Sands is lined with a lively mix of cafés and restaurants, bringing a multicultural flavour to the shore. Greek tavernas, gelato bars, and family-run fish and chip shops make it easy to grab a bite after a swim, while the occasional jetski or planes landing at nearby Sydney Airport add a touch of local charm. Whether you’re after a safe swim, a picnic by the bay, or a scenic stroll, Brighton-Le-Sands offers a relaxed coastal escape within easy reach of the city.
