ABOUT THIS BEACH
Sandringham Beach is a relaxed, family-friendly destination on Botany Bay, known for its wide grassy areas perfect for picnics, sprawling playgrounds, and beautiful bike and walking paths that hug the shoreline. The beach itself offers calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming and windsurfing, while the dunes at the south end add a bit of natural charm and space to explore. For those wanting a safe swim, the nearby Vanston Baths provide a sheltered, netted swimming area - no sand, but plenty of picnic tables and toilets right there to make it easy for a full day out.
Beyond the beach, the area connects via scenic walking and cycling paths all the way from Dolls Point up to Kyeemagh, making it a popular spot for active locals and families looking to make a day of it. The Georges River Sailing Club adds a local flavour and means the water’s often dotted with colourful sails. Whether you’re after a fun day with the kids or a quiet spot to windsurf and relax, Sandringham has a laid-back vibe and plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the bayside.
