About this walk...
Start at the northern end of Marine Parade in North Avalon, where a leafy path leads you into Bangalley Head. The track climbs steeply through grassy patches and rocky bits - watch your footing!
At the top (about 116 meters up), you get stunning views south to Sydney, north to Broken Bay and the Central Coast. Along the trail, native plants like Banksias, scribbly gums, and Burrawang palms hang around, plus wildlife like honeyeaters, wrens, and sunbathing lizards.
When you reach the fork, you’ve got two choices:
Turn left to stick to the loop track that brings you back to where you started.
Or take right at the fork to head down towards Whale Beach Road, which means you’ll finish in a different spot.
Parking’s easiest along Marine Parade or nearby streets like Watkins or North Avalon Road.
