Stretching nearly 2km to Long Reef Point, Dee Why Beach is a vibrant community hub perfect for families and picnic lovers alike. The beach features an enclosed playground, expansive grassy areas like Ted Jackson Reserve, BBQ facilities, and a rock pool, making it ideal for a full day out.
The south end offers calmer waves, perfect for kids to splash safely or build sandcastles, while surfers can catch larger breaks further up the beach or head north to Long Reef Beach for more challenging waves. Across the road and nearby streets, you’ll find plenty of cafes and restaurants to refuel.
Dee Why is also well known for its lively New Year’s Eve fireworks display at 9 pm, attracting crowds who enjoy the beachside festivities.
